The espresso dial-in calculator

Set your dose, yield, and shot time and the calculator keeps up: brew ratio, shot style, and what to change next based on how it tasted.

Numbers are conventions, not physics. A classic starting point is a 1:2 ratio in 25 to 30 seconds, but the ristretto, normale, and lungo boundaries vary by source, light roasts happily run past 35 seconds, and fast is not automatically a fault: modern turbo shots run coarse and quick on purpose. Taste beats the chart.
